About Your Instructor
Advanced First Aid.
The ASHI Advanced First Aid course is designed for the person who needs or desires more First Aid training than Basic First Aid, but not to the level of Emergency Medical Response. It's perfect for corporate emergency response teams! This 17-21 hour Advanced First Aid Certification course presents many of the most common illnesses and injuries responders are likely to encounter.
Training Considerations
Advanced First Aid is available for groups of five (5) or more. Ten (10) students is our cut off point for a single instructor.
Ten (10) or more students require an additional instructor, and will incur an additional fee.
The course is not available for open enrollment at this time. However, we are taking agency/corporate bookings.
Course Timeline
The Advanced First Aid course is completed in two (2) consecutive eight (8) hour days.
Classroom training may be at the clients site or one that we help you choose.
The space required is roughly 17 sq. ft. per student in classroom.
Practical skills and scenario based training requires an indoor open space.

Captain Thomas E. Bliss is a Licensed USCG Master Mariner & Emergency Medical Responder.
Thomas logs thousands of hours each year in various safety training courses .
Captain Bliss continues to honorably serve with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary as a COXSWAIN, USCG District 13, and as the USCG AUX Gig Harbor Detachment Leader.
Thomas established Northwest Response (NWR) in 2012, and serves as Director of this Emergency Medical Responder Training Enterprise that also provides Event Stand-by EMS services; providing care and medical coverage to thousands of event patrons from Marathons, Music Festivals up to and including large and small private Corporate events.
NWR also specializes in on-site First Aid, Bloodborne Pathogen, and Asbestos Training as well as providing Respiratory Fit Testing and Certification for numerous Companies throughout the Puget Sound area
Course Fees
Client Training Site
Providing the client has appropriate pre-approved training facilities; we can conduct the entire training program in one or two locations.
Classroom facilities must ensure student comfort, and be spacious enough to accommodate all students, the instructor, and associated training gear.

$180/per student.
$1800.00 minimum fee covers 10 students.
