NWR offers the American Health and Safety Institute (HSI) Basic Life Support (BLS) class onsite in all of Western Washington. We schedule around your busy patient schedule to fulfill your legal BLS obligation in one session.
And, yes; we do Saturday classes!

Most BLS classes are held in major Metropolitan cities, and if you are located in the West Sound; a trip to a BLS class training center in Seattle or Tacoma may involve a full day trip.

BLS/CPR for Healthcare Providers & Professional Rescuers

The HSI Basic Life Support (BLS) program is for participants to gain or improve knowledge and skill proficiency in high-quality CPR skills and teamwork for the adult, child, and infant.

HSI Basic Life Support (BLS) reflects the latest resuscitation science and treatment recommendations published by the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR), and it conforms with the 2020 American Heart Association (AHA) Guidelines Update for CPR and ECC and the annual Guidelines Update. Continuing Education Hours Available: Emergency Medical Services (CAPCE) and Dental Professionals (AGD/PACE).

Who should take this course?

The HSI BLS Course is designed for Healthcare Providers and Professional Rescuers, and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and pre-hospital settings.

The Training Location:

We can bring the BLS class to any Western Washington location, and have delivered the BLS class in Seattle, Tacoma, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, Sequim, Olympia as well as many other facilities located in King, Lewis, Mason, Thurston, Jefferson, and Grays Harbor Counties!

The Training Space:

n95 fit testingWe do require a training space for all students to sit comfortably (in chairs) in a climate controlled environment, 68° to 72°.  We need a room for students to work in teams of two (2) on the floor with a CPR mannequin to demonstrate practical skills. The size of your training space will impact class delivery time.

Most BLS classes for Dental & Medical practices can be completed in four to five hours.

BLS OnSite Training Fee:

We have a minimum onsite training fee of $450.00. The fee covers the first five (5) students, and each additional student is $75.00. The class cap is ten (10) students with one instructor. There are situations where we must assess a .62¢ per mile travel fee beyond Pierce County, but we will let you know the total fee before scheduling.

Your Instructors:

All of our BLS instructors are working professional responders, from EMR, EMT and RN. Our teams work in Hospital and remote care so we understand your world. We strive to bring you the best class in the shortest BLS acceptable time frame.
