Saved me a trip to the ERI work with knives and saws for a living so this is a must have. I keep a pack in my wallet in case I get a cut. I’ve only had to use it once, but it saved me from having to go to the ER for bleeding 🙂

It stops the bleeding FASTI’ve used Celox a couple times now when I’ve cut myself fileting fish and in the kitchen. I tried using a tissue and pressure both times but it just kept bleeding. Once I probably should have had a couple stitches, but didn’t. I poured some of the packet on the cut and both times the bleeding stopped almost immediately. I also gave some to my dad who is on blood thinners. Thankfully I did because he cut his thumb and to my surprise, it clotted the blood just as fast. Otherwise he said he’d have been bleeding for quite a while as holding gauze with pressure didn’t really stop it from bleeding. I keep some in my fishing tackle, glove compartment in my car, in my camping first aid kit and my backpack I take to work. Great stuff!

Must have.I had an injury where I wouldn’t stop bleeding. I had to call for an ambulance. I had this in my cabinet so I used it. The bleeding stopped before the ambulance arrived. I purchased more and even mailed some to my son who lives out of state. It’s a must have for me now. Accidents always happen. You never know how bad they will be.

Hope I never use itThis is one of those things you buy hoping that you never have to use it. It is exactly what I ordered but slightly different package.

An ounce of powder, a pound of cureIf I had this back then when I was a Paramedic, we would have had some incredible saves. I just ordered my 5th round of Celox. I’ve used it three times (once at home, on a camping trip and at work). I like it for several reasons, first of all Celox is a non- exothermic, which means there is no chemical reaction to cause further pain. Second, it works on its own, needing none of your blood chemistry to use to aid it to help your blood to clot, which is how Quick Clot works. That’s not to say that one is better than the other, I also have a Quick Clot gauze trauma kit, but hey, I’m just geeky like that. Like most emergencies, the nature of the injury determines the treatment…simple. In penetrating trauma, Celox granules or even syringe applicators can get the treatment to the wound and hopefully promote hemostasis (stop bleeding). That way, everyone goes home to their family and maybe live a long life thanks to this mystical powder.

WORKSWHEN I PUT THESE IN MY GSW KIT NEVER THOUGHT OF IT STOPPING BLEEDING FROM BAD CUT ON FINGER FROM CHAIN SAW. GLAD I HAD IT

  7. Mr. Clemente

Well, dang, I needed it today…Today I was being stupid in my woodshop and cut my finger, badly, on my bandsaw. Like, through a tendon and into bone badly. I immediately got the Celox and a gauze pad from the first aid kit and hurriedly poured it on the cut. Not sure how much went into the cut vs. on the floor. Went upstairs, told my wife I needed to go to the ER and asked her to pour a second pack onto the cut, just to be sure. Kept pressure applied while she drove. It wasn’t bleeding anymore. The ER doc was impressed; he wasn’t familiar with Celox.By the way, my stash expired Sept 2020 and it worked great, but I’ll be reordering to have an up to date supply.Regarding the cost, you won’t think it’s expensive if you find yourself needing it.

For Unforeseen EmergenciesGood stuff to have for your emergency kits, be it for your car, home, outdoors first aid kits for hiking/camping, or your IFAK – this and quick-clot bandages are a must-have. Whether it’s a compound fracture, cut due to broken glass, piercing by metal or wood, or gunshot wound, this works to give the injured a better shot at surviving whatever happened.

Small packs – Good for those on blood thinnersMy dad had a heart attack and had a stent put in, and he has to be on blood thinners for a year. I got two packs of these and keep them everywhere. He does a lot of tree work and keeps these in his work truck as well as his house, my house, the car, etc. The small packs are better because you can keep one everywhere since you never know when you might get cut or stabbed. Assuming you’re doing lots of physical things, which my dad does. He is young and healthy despite the heart issue. As far as I know he’s never had to use one but it’s good they’re around. Like having band aids but for those on blood thinners. You can use one and then make your plan.
