A Great Little Kit to Keep AroundOverall, I think this kit is fantastic! I am in no ways a medical professional nor do I claim to be one, but I do work and go to college in an area that has a abundance of gun violence and medical injuries/casulties. I think this would be a great investment when vehicular traffic and foot traffic is heavy, and it can take EMS a while to get where you are. Overall, the bag is very sturdy and large and all of the items fit in it for easy access. I will definitely be buying from Lightning X again!

Solid quality kit for the money. Just buy it!I just received and set up this bag. As a critical care medic, I can really appreciate this pack. Looks are a little deceiving as it is a small pack but it really holds a ton of supplies. I bought this for the purpose of utilizing it as a trauma and first aid kit. This easily stows in my linen closet and takes up minimal room in the vehicle when used for out of town travel. I have a separate EDC bag that I utilize when traveling around town and to and from work. Overall, I really appreciate the cost and quality of this kit.Pro’s:1- Bag is quality made. Attachment points for the shoulder strap are metal instead of plastic. Stitching appears solid and bag appears to be made of high quality materials.2- Plenty of storage. On top of what the kit came with, I was able to also store a SAM splint, Recon tourniquet, IV setup, catheters, large ACE bandage, Israeli bandage, occlusive dressing, and a glucometer.3- It comes with the essential supplies needed to provide first aid for a variety of injuries.4- Plenty of pockets and elastic loops to set the bag up the way you want and/or need.Cons:1- It comes with an reusable IV tourniquet. I assumed that it was a legitimate tourniquet, but when it arrived I was disappointed. I added a higher quality one to the kit due to this. I have never been a fan of reusable tourniquets for IV starts. This one is a black nylon style so you will never know if it is truly clean.Not a pro or a con:1- It comes with a basic stethoscope. Nothing wrong with that. For me, I am a spoiled brat when it comes to stethoscopes so I placed one of my Littman’s in the bag instead. This is all personal preference so I don’t see it as a pro or a con.Conclusion:Overall, I give this bag a green light if you are looking to purchase a ready made kit. I don’t think you could personally set up a bag for cheaper. I commend Lighting X for providing such a great kit for an affordable price.

Get proper training, which is far more important than any first aid kit!!!Being active in both patriotic organizations and local. CERT, I purchased this to be that much more prepared. It’s not my place to play EMT or otherwise hamper first responders, but it is my and any American’s job to do whatever necessary to save lives before they get there..And then get out of their way! I found this bag extremely well stocked and capable for most any trauma situation, and immediately took it to my local fire station to ask EMT’s to assess it. All were extremely impressed, some saying it exceeded their own bags, and were very glad another citizen was so quipped. It needs a reliable flashlight, surgical mask, gloves and bag for Bio Hazards left after EMT’s take over, but those are easy and now part of my inventory, as it’s highly important not to put yourself at risk while attempting to stabilize a victim long enough for help to arrive. All in, this bag is a real winner, BUT good equipment does nothing without good skills! Make damn sure you understand what and how to assist a victim, because good intentions alone can and does cost lives that might otherwise be saved! Get proper training on how to assess needs and how to appropriately use the trauma tools BEFORE you act! If you want to be a hero, you are already the greatest hazard to human life to be found, so do NOT develop or have that mindset!!!

A lot better than I expectedI upgraded the shears and CPR mask. I threw away the stethoscope and bp cuff. Replaced them with my back up Littmann scope and ADC cuff. Then added a few more mediations, a couple CAT tourniquets, some chest seals, a Sam splint, hemostatic gauze, a touch less thermometer, and a bgl meter. Now it’s basically identical to the bag on my ambulance. Just smaller and without the oxygen delivery, prescription meds or invasive med delivery. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a solid base kit for home/car.

Great overall purchaseGreat product. Would buy again. A few things though:1- this is my 2nd trauma bag (figures time for an upgrade) and it’s definitely smaller than the “cheaper versions”. More durable for sure but smaller.2- the medical supplies inside were on point. Not quite everything you may need but it’s a great start. Lots of storage for the items it comes with and a little more room to add your own stuff to it! Have to great at organizing to get it all to fit though!3- lightning fast shipping!Over all a great product for the price. Would 100% buy it again. Very happy with my choice. Perfect fit for a starter trauma kit, or to expand your existing stock

Outstanding value and quality!This bag is great quality and value! I took out some of the excess stuff and put it in my first aid kit at home, and bought a few more CAT 7 tournies and compression bandages, now I have a fairly decent trauma kit to carry in my vehicle!I also got: Lightning X Color Coded First Aid Medical Kit Accessory Pouches – Zippered Bag w/Transparent Window – Set of 4 to further keep things organized!
